The May Day holiday coincided with Youth Day and the Trendy Youth Art Season activities which were jointly held in 5 locations including the National Shang Dynasty Archaeological Site Park of Zhengzhou, the Zhengzhou Shang Dynasty Capital Cultural Center, and North Shuncheng Street. More than 20 activities focused on youth and creativity such as the City Wall Art Exhibition, Park Jam Competition and Sunset Movie Party, allowing tourists to immerse themselves in unique urban cultural and tourism festivities. Light up Zhengzhou, urban music performances, took place in Ersha, Mojie, the Oil Chemical Factory, and the ancient city wall of Shang Dynasty Capital. The Zhengzhou Economic and Technological Development Zone held the May Day Cultural Shopping Festival which was called Roaming the Economic Development Zone - Youthful Splendor at Butterfly Lake, and the Zhengzhou Grand Theater hosted a total of 17 cultural performances and activities, offering a splendid array of shows to cater to the diverse viewing preferences of both citizens and tourists.

Zhengzhou is a famous historical and cultural city in China and one of the eight ancient capitals. The Zhengzhou Museum hosted The Magnificence of the Jin State: An Exhibition of Fine Cultural Relics from the Eastern and Western Zhou Dynasties in Shanxi. The Zhengzhou Shang Dynasty Site Museum held a series of activities including The Vibrant Capital Bo, Enjoying the Early Summer. The Zhengzhou Art Museum hosted its first national exhibition in 40 years: The National Calligraphy and Seal Carving Exhibition (Henan Exhibition Area) and used digital modeling to reproduce the original Han Sanque on Mount Song in equal proportions for the first time.
