寒风起，
小雪至。
二十四节气转眼间迎来“小雪”。
In ancient China, if the Minor Snow arrived, the poets would have a stronger desire for admiring snow. Dai Shulun, a poet in the Tang Dynasty, wrote A Light Snow to describe gorgeous scenery in winter:
小雪时节一到，
诗人盼雪更甚。
唐代诗人戴叔伦的《小雪》
写尽人间盛景：
I never get tired of seeing snowflakes fluttering in the wind. Snow tends to fall on the mountains and in the forests. I was admiring snow by the window with a feeling of uneasiness. Snow came in and made my room colder.
花雪随风不厌看，
更多还肯失林峦。
愁人正在书窗下，
一片飞来一片寒。
The Tang Dynasty poet Yuan Zhen wrote Poetry of the Twenty-four Solar Terms - Minor Snow in October, showing the scene at that time:

莫怪虹无影，
如今小雪时。
阴阳依上下，
寒暑喜分离。
