Meanwhile, in Hubei province, the "Jianghan Ping'an"—China's largest-diameter dual-shield hard rock Tunnel Boring Machine (TBM) and a product of China Railway Engineering Equipment Group Co., Ltd. (CREG)—successfully commenced tunneling operations. This "engineering marvel" represents the largest-diameter and most fully-featured dual-shield hard rock TBM currently used in domestic water diversion tunnel projects.

In 2024, five companies, including Yutong Group, Zhengzhou Coal Mining Machinery Group Co., Ltd. (ZMJ), and Mingtai Aluminum, were listed among the "Top 500 Chinese Manufacturing Enterprises of 2024." Recently, relevant departments recognized 69 companies, including BYD Zhengzhou, as the second batch of "chain-leading enterprises," bringing the city's total to 131.
