In April 2024, the "When Shaolin Meets Angkor" Cultural Tourism Exchange Activity took place in Siem Reap, Cambodia, promoting bilateral collaboration in the cultural and tourism sectors. As a sub-event of the 13^th Zhengzhou International Shaolin Wushu Festival, the "When Henan Kung Fu Meets Cambodian Kung Fu" Cultural Tourism Exchange Activity invited cultural tourism delegations from Cambodia to Zhengzhou, deepening friendly cooperative ties between Henan and Cambodia.

Kung Fu performance was the highlight of this cultural tourism exchange activity. During the performance, Cambodian Wushu teams showcased ancient Kun Khmer, while Henan Wushu teams showcased the renowned Shaolin Kung Fu.

Kung Fu originated in Shaolin. At the event, Shaolin monks performed group boxing, ground-based boxing, spear techniques, and staff techniques in front of the mountain gate of the millennial Shaolin Temple, creating an ancient Wushu World for guests, athletes, and martial arts enthusiasts from around the world to experience the unique charm of Chinese Wushu.

“天下功夫出少林”，活动现场，少林寺的武僧们表演了集体拳、地趟拳、银枪刺喉、集体镇山棍等精彩节目，在千年古刹的山门前带领世界各地的嘉宾、运动员、武术爱好者，置身于古老的武林世界，共同领略中华武术的独特魅力。

Kun Khmer, an ancient martial art spanning thousands of years, has its movements and techniques depicted on the walls of ancient temples like Angkor Wat. On November 29^th, 2022, Kun Khmer was officially inscribed on the Representative List of the Intangible Cultural Heritage of Humanity by UNESCO and included in the events of the 32^nd Southeast Asian Games hosted by Cambodia in 2023.
