On October 19^th, the 13^th Zhengzhou International Shaolin Wushu Festival & China Zhengzhou International Shaolin Wushu Competition kicked off in Dengfeng, Zhengzhou, the hometown of Wushu, where thousands of guests, athletes, and Wushu enthusiasts from home and abroad gathered to experience the rich heritage and endless charm of Shaolin Kung Fu.

10月19日，第十三届郑州国际少林武术节暨中国郑州国际少林武术大赛开幕式在武术之乡郑州登封隆重举行。来自国内外的上千名嘉宾、运动员、武术爱好者共聚一堂，共同感受少林功夫的深厚底蕴和无穷魅力。

The Zhengzhou International Shaolin Wushu Festival, which began in 1991, is a large-scale comprehensive event that integrates martial arts, tourism, and cultural exchange. By October 2018, it had successfully held twelve editions, making a profound impact worldwide and becoming an important bond among Wushu enthusiasts across five continents.

始于1991年的郑州国际少林武术节是一项集武术、旅游、文化交流于一体的大型综合性节会，到2018年10月，已成功举办十二届，在世界范围内产生了深远的影响，成为连接五大洲武术爱好者的重要纽带。

At 9 a.m., the welcoming ceremony of the Wushu Festival started. A 1.5km-long "Shaolin World" performance matrix was staged in the core part of the Songshan Shaolin Scenic Area, showcasing the "Sacred Land of Kung Fu". Along the 13km route from the Shaolin Temple to the venue of the opening ceremony, 30,000 young Wushu practitioners delivered spectacular performances that highlighted the profoundness and richness of Shaolin Kung Fu. The performances, divided into three parts—Tracing the Roots of Shaolin Kung Fu, Mastery of Shaolin Kung Fu, and Heritage of Shaolin Kung Fu, fully illustrated the dissemination path of Shaolin Wushu.

上午9时，武术节迎宾式首先上演。在嵩山少林风景区核心打造长达1.5公里“少林世界”表演方阵，展示“功夫圣地”并举行欢迎仪式。在从少林寺到开幕场地全长13公里路线上，3万名功夫小子用精彩的表演展示出少林功夫的博大精深和丰富内容，溯源少林、绝艺少林、薪火少林三个部分的演出充分演绎了少林武术的传播之路。

At 10 a.m., the opening ceremony officially started at the Wuhuan Martial Arts Arena of the Tagou Martial Arts School. In line with the theme of "Shaolin, the Origin of Kung Fu; Zhengzhou, the City of Kung Fu", the cultural performance lasted nearly 40 minutes in three chapters: "Open the Mountain Gate, Inherit Wushu Essence and Zen Mind", "Stand between the Heaven and Earth, Integrate the Music of Countries All Over the World", and "Gather in Dengfeng, Celebrate the Grand Wushu Festival Together". In this grand performance featuring over 7,000 actors, Kung Fu elements were woven throughout, further enhancing the city brand of "Kung Fu Zhengzhou".

上午10点整，开幕式在塔沟武校五环演武场正式开启。开幕式以“源武少林，功夫郑州”为主题，文艺展演环节历时近40分钟，分为“开山门·传武韵禅心”“立天地·合四海之音”“聚八方·邀神州共武”三个篇章。在这台有7000多名演员参演的大型演出中，功夫元素贯串始终， “功夫郑州”作为郑州的一张城市名片由此被进一步擦亮。

With the successful completion of the opening ceremony, various events for this year's Shaolin Wushu Festival will take place in succession.

随着开幕式圆满完成，本届少林武术节的各项赛事活动也将陆续开展。
