老城换新颜 古都获新生

The old city has been revitalized, and its alleys have become trendy streets. In Zhengzhou's Fuminli historical and cultural district, one side features the restored small shops with blue tiles and red bricks from 1990s, while the other side houses trendy boutiques, fashion clothing stores, and immersive theaters among other new business formats, bringing together "Old Zhengzhou" and "New Youth."

老城复兴，旧巷潮街。在郑州阜民里历史文化街区，一边是被复原的20世纪90年代青瓦红砖小卖部，一边是“潮”味儿十足的买手店、潮牌服饰店、沉浸式剧场等新业态，“老郑州”与“新青年”撞个满怀。

With rapid urban development, many old streets have disappeared into the river of time, yet Fuminli has achieved a unification of heritage and development. At the opening of the "2024 Hainan International Culture & Creativity Week" on March 30^th, 2024, this project was successfully shortlisted for the 2024 Urban Renewal Map.

城市快速发展，很多老街道都消失在岁月的长河中，阜民里却实现了传承与发展的统一。在2024年3月30日开幕的“2024海南国际文创周”上，该项目成功入围2024年城市更新地图。

The transformation of Fuminli is a microcosm of urban renewal in Zhengzhou.

阜民里的变化，是郑州市城市更新的一个缩影。

城市新潮地 发展新动能

Along Huashan Road, once the site of old industrial base in the west of Zhengzhou, landmarks such as China's Second Grinding Wheel Factory—once the largest in the country and first in Asia—stand testament to the past. Zhengzhou Research Institute for Abrasives & Grinding Co., Ltd. successfully developed China's first artificial diamond in 1963, while the Zhengzhou Coal Mining Machinery is a global provider of comprehensive coal mining technology and equipment.

华山路沿线，曾是郑州西部老工业基地。中国第二砂轮厂，当年是全国最大、亚洲第一的砂轮厂；郑州磨料磨具磨削研究所，1963年曾研制成功中国第一颗人造金刚石；郑煤机，全球重要的煤矿综采技术和装备供应商。

However, with the city's expansion and economic restructuring, state-owned factories along Huashan Road moved out of the main urban area, leaving their former sites vacant for a time.

然而，随着城市版图外扩、经济结构转型，华山路沿线的国有工厂迁出主城区，厂房旧址一度空置。

Through urban renewal, Zhengzhou has revitalized the cluster of Bauhaus-style buildings and surrounding historical architecture, transforming the district's image from one that exudes a sense of "substantial heritage" to one that radiates "youthful vitality." Open blocks like Zhi Ma Jie Entrepreneurship and Innovation Park, Wanda Golden Street and Mojie have become integrated hubs of science and innovation, cultural creativity and commercial startups, emerging as new landmarks for cultural, commercial and tourism consumption in Zhengzhou.

郑州的城市更新，让这片包豪斯风格建筑群落以及成片的老式建筑群获得新生，区域形象由“厚重感”转向“年轻态”，芝麻街双创园、万达金街、磨街，集科创、文创和商创为一体的开放式街区，成为郑州文商旅消费新地标。

更新绿空间 城市更美丽

Enhanced by ecological greening, urban renewal breathes new life into parks by "restoring greenery to the public." Before May Day 2024, Zhengzhou initiated upgrades on two major parks: Renmin Park will partially undergo enhancements including the South Gate, Water World, and the Bird Garden, with completion set to "replenish greenery for public enjoyment"; Century Park's renovation project will green over extensive areas after the removal of amusement facilities. Upon completion, the park's green space ratio will reach approximately 70%, forming a crucial green corridor in southeastern Zhengzhou along with Binhe Park, Archaeological Site Park, Fu Tower and Fushan Park. This enhances the urban green layout, improves residential environments and increases the well-being of its citizens.

生态绿化加持城市更新，公园提升改造“还绿于民”。2024年五一前，郑州市两大公园提升改造开工：人民公园局部提升改造涉及南门、水上世界、鸟园等，完工后将“还绿于民”；世纪公园改造升级工程将对游乐设施拆除后的大片区域实施绿化，完成后公园绿化率将达70%左右，与滨河公园、遗址公园、福塔及福山公园等构成郑州东南部重要的绿色通道，提升城市绿地布局，改善居民生活环境，增加市民幸福感。

Revitalizing urban resources fosters new opportunities for development. In 2023, the city planned and reserved 527 urban renewal projects, with 176 projects in the pipeline, culminating in an annual investment of 101.95 billion yuan. In 2024, Zhengzhou aims to accelerate spatial transformations, address deficiencies, elevate industries, preserve culture, ensure social welfare, and beautify the environment through urban renewal, thereby propelling high-quality and connotative urban development.

盘活城市资源，塑造发展新机。2023年，全市谋划储备城市更新项目527个，在库项目176个，全年完成投资1019.5亿元。2024年，郑州市将通过城市更新加快改空间、补短板、升产业、留文化、保民生、美环境，推动城市高品质、内涵式发展。
