The National Immigration Administration recently announced the implementation of the 144-hour visa-free transit policies at the Zhengzhou aviation ports, with the scope of stay covering the administrative region of Henan Province. The policy, which previously applied only to Kunming City in Yunnan Province, has now been expanded to include Kunming, Lijiang, Yuxi, Pu'er, Chuxiong, and four other cities (prefectures) within their administrative regions. Additionally, three new ports of entry have been added to the list of those applicable for the 144-hour visa-free transit policies, namely Zhengzhou Xinzheng International Airport, Lijiang Sanyi International Airport, and Mohan Railway Port.

国家移民管理局近日发布公告，在河南郑州航空口岸实施144小时过境免签政策，停留范围为河南省行政区域；将云南省144小时过境免签政策停留范围由昆明市扩大至昆明、丽江、玉溪、普洱、楚雄等9个市（州）行政区域。新增郑州新郑国际机场、丽江三义国际机场和磨憨铁路口岸等3个口岸为144小时过境免签政策适用口岸。

As of now, the National Immigration Administration has implemented the 144-hour visa-free transit policies at 37 ports of entry across Beijing, Tianjin, Shijiazhuang in Hebei Province, Shenyang in Liaoning Province, Shanghai, Nanjing in Jiangsu Province, Hangzhou in Zhejiang Province, Zhengzhou in Henan Province, Guangzhou and Shenzhen in Guangdong Province, Qingdao in Shandong Province, Chongqing, Chengdu in Sichuan Province, Xi'an in Shaanxi Province, Xiamen in Fujian Province, Wuhan in Hubei Province, and Kunming in Yunnan Province.
截至目前，国家移民管理局已在北京，天津，河北石家庄，辽宁沈阳，上海，江苏南京，浙江杭州，河南郑州，广东广州、深圳，山东青岛，重庆，四川成都，陕西西安，福建厦门，湖北武汉，云南昆明等地的37个口岸实施144小时过境免签政策。

Citizens from 54 countries, including the United States, Canada, and the United Kingdom, holding valid international travel documents and connecting tickets with confirmed dates and seats within 144 hours, can transit via the aforementioned ports to a third country (region) without a visa and stay in the designated area for no more than 144 hours. During their stay, they are permitted to engage in short-term activities such as tourism, business, visits, and family reunions (for those who meet the criteria of the visa-free agreement signed with China, or our unilateral visa-free policies, the corresponding provisions can be followed).
美国、加拿大、英国等54国公民持有效国际旅行证件和144小时内确定日期及座位的联程客票从上述口岸过境前往第三国（地区），可免办签证在规定区域内停留不超过144小时，停留期间可从事旅游、商务、访问、探亲等短期活动（符合与我国签署互免签证协定或我单方面免签政策的，可从其规定）。

The 72/144-hour visa-free transit policies have played a significant role in serving China's high-level openness, facilitating exchanges between Chinese and foreign personnel, and promoting international cooperation since the implementation in January 2013. The expansion of the 144-hour visa-free transit policies in the two provinces provides more options for foreign nationals traveling to China for tourism and business. Moving forward, the National Immigration Administration will continue to refine and optimize the visa-free transit policies, further advance the reform and opening of the immigration management system, welcome foreign nationals to China with an even more open attitude, and make every effort to promote high-level openness and high-quality development.
